Own new business sales across NHS primary care, pharma, and ICB partnerships. Build and manage the pipeline from prospecting through contract signature, develop account plans, engage senior stakeholders, run tailored presentations and demonstrations, translate clinical priorities into commercial propositions, provide market feedback, maintain CRM accuracy, and forecast reliably.

Abtrace is solving one of the most complex and impactful problems in healthcare: helping primary care deliver proactive, preventative care at scale.

The NHS is under immense pressure. Primary care teams are asked to deliver more care for a larger, longer-living population with limited time and workforce capacity. Healthcare provision must become more proactive, preventative, and operationally efficient. We must automate where possible and thoughtfully digitise the rest.

Abtrace supports over 500 primary care practices across the UK, serving 6 million people. We automate the delivery of measurements, vaccinations, blood tests, reviews, and other routine care. We improve healthcare outcomes, reduce operational burden, and create better experiences for staff and patients.
The Role

Our team includes experienced NHS clinicians alongside product managers, engineers, designers, data scientists, and customer-facing teams.

You will own new business. That means building the pipeline across the NHS primary care sector, and carrying deals from first conversation to signed contract. It is a role with real strategic weight: ICB and pharma partnerships are how we move from hundreds of practices to thousands, and you will be shaping how we approach that market rather than working a script someone else wrote.

In practice, you will:

  • Own the pipeline and the number, from prospecting through to close.
  • Develop and execute a plan for high-value accounts, with particular emphasis on growing our pharma and ICB partnerships.
  • Build relationships with senior NHS and pharma stakeholders, and understand what each of them is accountable for.
  • Translate clinical and operational priorities into propositions and deal structures that work for both sides.
  • Run presentations and demonstrations that connect what we do to the specific pressures a customer is under.
  • Bring the market back into the business: what customers are asking for, what competitors are doing, where we are losing and why.
  • Keep the CRM honest, and forecast in a way the rest of the business can plan against.

Who you are

You are a salesperson who is energised by a complex sale and motivated by real-world impact.

You are likely to be a good fit if you:

  • Understand how the NHS actually buys: who holds budget, who blocks, how long it takes, and how to keep a deal alive through it.
  • Have sold a software or digital health product into primary care, and can talk credibly about GPs' day-to-day pressures.
  • Have a track record of hitting targets, and can point to specific deals you drove rather than inherited.
  • Are comfortable generating your own pipeline, including cold outreach, rather than waiting for leads.
  • Think commercially about what makes a proposition viable rather than merely interesting.
  • Operate credibly with senior, institutional stakeholders, and enjoy that kind of conversation.
  • Communicate clearly to clinical, technical, and commercial audiences alike.
  • Are open about difficulties and trade-offs, including deals that are not going to land.
  • Bring positive energy and help build a healthy, high-performing team.

Around four years in health tech is a good marker, but we care more about what you have closed than how long you have been doing it. Experience with pharma partnerships, regulated environments, or the public sector is useful. Time in an early-stage startup is a bonus.

  • Company's office in Paddington - easy commute and comfortable surroundings
  • Motivated, highly functioning, multi-disciplinary team
