We’re scaling rapidly, with 2,000+ Flatpayers across multiple markets, and we’re just getting started! We're now looking for the first New York people to join and form our Field Sales team in the United States, which over the next 5 years will grow to 1,500+ ambitious sales people across the US.

Salary Band 
Competitive salary, standard US benefits - including health insurance and 401(K). 

On‑Target Earnings (OTE): $90,000 – $108,000
Compensation Structure: Guaranteed salary plus uncapped commission
 

What you'll do

  • Attend pre-booked appointments with businesses in New York to demonstrate Flatpay's payment solutions and convert opportunities into customers.
  • Generate your own pipeline through referrals, networking and local prospecting.
  • Advise on and present solutions that address real painpoints for business owners - making payments simple.
  • Understand each merchant's needs and recommend the most suitable solution.
  • Deliver and install payment terminals for new customers, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Keep CRM records accurate and up to date at all times.
  • Build long-term customer relationships by delivering an excellent customer experience.
  • Share customer feedback and market insights with our Sales Development, Marketing and Product teams to continuously improve our go-to-market strategy.

Skills & traits

  • Proven experience identifying opportunities and closing deals in field sales.
  • Strong face-to-face communication skills, negotiation techniques, and objection handling abilities.
  • Self-starter with perseverance; driven by results.
  • Organized and disciplined, maintaining a clear overview of your sales pipeline.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with SDR and Operations teams.
  • Valid driver's license.

Background

  • Experience in B2B field sales, with a track record of consistently meeting (or exceeding) targets.
  • Experience selling to SME business owners (experience in the payments industry is a plus, but not required).
  • Fluent in English and access to a personal vehicle five days a week.
  • Right to work in the US.
