Are you detail-oriented, organised, and passionate about numbers? We’re looking for a Sales Ledger Assistant to join our dynamic finance team in Biggin Hill. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in coordinating our sales ledger and credit control processes while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Sales Ledger Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our finance operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all aspects of the sales ledger. Your responsibilities will include:
Sales Ledger Management:
Generate and issue invoices and credit notes accurately and on time.
Track incoming payments, post to accounts, and reconcile balances.
Resolve billing issues and respond to customer queries promptly.
Maintain and update customer account records and contact details.
Credit Control:
Produce aging reports and identify overdue balances.
Initiate timely follow-up communications in line with company procedures.
Update status notes and provide regular reporting and analysis of receivables.
Collaboration & Compliance:
Liaise with legal and commercial departments as needed.
Complete all mandatory training within specified timelines.
Support with ad hoc duties as required.
What We're Looking For
Experience:
Previous Sales Ledger/Accounts Receivable experience is preferred, or experience within a similar finance role
Personal Qualities/Skills:
A strong work ethic and organisational skills, demonstrating an ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks whilst meeting exacting deadlines.
Methodical and conscientious approach to work with attention to detail a prerequisite.
A team player with excellent verbal and written skills.
Software/Systems Knowledge:
Good Excel and Word skills are essential.
Experience of Microsoft D365 would be beneficial but is not a prerequisite
Additional Requirements:
Stable employment history must be demonstrated.
The position is based in Biggin Hill, Kent. Please ensure you have a means of transport and live within an hours commute of Biggin Hill.
Hybrid working, minimum 3 days a week office based
