Mission: 

The Sales Engineer (SE) will work as the principal technical interface between prospects and the Xurrent platform.  This role will be customer facing and play a key role in uncovering and developing opportunities.The SE will take a consultative approach to prospect companies searching for ITSM, ESM and ITOM solutions and while working closely with Sales to help prospects understand how the technology at Xurrent enables their business. This role is based in our London Paddington office with a hybrid schedule of three days per week in the office.

Key Characteristics

As a SE, you will share responsibility for sales targets. Your role will primarily involve bringing a prospect from discovery, to demo, through a POV, technical sign-off, and close. You are skilled in presenting, story telling and adding value to the sales team as a technical resource for ideal implementation and design scenarios for the sales team and prospects. You are results driven and take a solution first approach when faced with adversity and objection. You have proven ability to work both individually and as part of a team. Finally, you will be eager to take a role in the technical training of the sales team. The SE - EMEA reports directly to the VP of Sales, EMEA. 

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise of the Xurrent products
  • Define prospect demos and sales “proof of value” process relating to platform evaluation, testing, and scoping for each prospect.
  • Work closely across other verticals at Xurrent, such as Product Marketing to create and maintain high quality sales material.
  • Ensure correct use of above mentioned sales collateral across the sales function, to make sure that Xurrent’s products are pitched as suitable solutions to its prospects. 
  • Strong understanding of Xurrent’s competitive solutions and market; effectively address and dispel customer objections 
  • Provide support to Sales organization to meet individual and team revenue targets
  • Build strong relationships with prospective customers
  • Participate in the RFI/RFP/RFQ process by identifying and creating answers that provide value and benefits to prospects while coordinating with Sales
  • Participate in discovery & demo calls with prospective customers to understand existing business processes and pain points and translate the customers challenges into solutions that can be solved using Xurrent 
  • Own the preparation and successful presentation of software demonstrations to meet prospective customers needs
  • Identify opportunities to deliver business outcomes and develop innovative solutions in direct collaboration with Sales, Product, Development, and Customer Success teams 
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, Development, and Customer Success to ensure knowledge share and alignment with the buyer’s journey
  • Maintain detailed information in CRM
  • Manage the maintenance and configuration of the software demonstration environment for software upgrades, new functionality, integration, etc.
  • Provide feedback to product management on customer product feedback
  • Ensure a smooth handover of the customer to the implementation team

Requirements/Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in a technical role, preferably in Sales Engineering
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, presentation, and time management skills
  • Technical proficiency with cloud architecture and modern SaaS environments
  • Professional, reliable, and comfortable in customer-facing situations
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
  • Consistently demonstrates energy, accountability, and strong work ethic

Compensation
The on-target earnings (OTE) range for this role is £78,000–£94,000 GBP, including a £66,000–£79,000 base salary and £12,000–£15,000 in commission.
