Job Location: Hybrid role in the UK office (Leeds, Newcastle, Milton Keynes, London) or remotely elsewhere in the UK.

What You Will Do
 

As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the business needs of a particular product line with a deep level of product, technical, and industry knowledge. On a weekly basis, you will be working with Trimble's sales, marketing, support, and customer success teams to optimally position our solutions in the construction industry in the UK region. The primary function will be to support our sales team as a technical expert in pre-sales and post-sales for our construction software, especially for Viewpoint software; Viewpoint for Projects and Viewpoint Field View. 
Your role will include:

  • Providing both pre and post-sales technical brilliance 
  • Conducting customer consultancy calls
  • Providing technical support to customers and advice on best practices
  • Preparing and conducting technical presentations and demos both to our existing customers and prospects
  • Supporting marketing in developing use cases, technical sales materials and webinars to demonstrate the added value of our products
  • Participating in industry events, conferences, and customer events and supporting the team as an on-site technical expert.
  • Working with the product team to suggest and communicate potential product developments and improvements


What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

  • Experience of working in a construction industry and understanding of construction project lifecycle
  • Knowledge of construction solutions such as Viewpoint for Projects and Field View
  • Basic knowledge of the sales cycle 
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills. Active listener who transmits information accurately and understandably and actively seeks feedback
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, communicative and proactive
  • Ability to travel when needed (estimation 10%)
