Job Description

Mission:
At Coface, we believe that empowering our clients through tailored solutions and strong local insights is key to making trade safer. By leading with ambition and working closely with our commercial teams and partners, we create real value for business. This role is instrumental in strengthening our presence and driving sustainability growth in the UK & Ireland.

As Sales Director UK & Ireland (UKI), you will be responsible for developing and executing a national sales strategy, managing a commercial team, and contributing to the growth of Coface’s credit insurance, business information, and service offerings. Reporting to the Director of BI, UKI, you will ensure strong business performance, client satisfaction, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities:

Commercial Strategy & Execution:

  • Define and execute the commercial strategy aligned with Coface’s regional objectives and global vision
  • Manage the national sales place, including setting targets, forecasting sales, and overseeing budgets
  • Manage, coach and motivate the Sales team to build a dynamic pipeline and optimize conversion rate
  • Develop and implement market development plans to expand our footprint in UKI
  • Promote cross-selling of Coface products, including Credit Insurance, Business Information, and Debt Collection services
  • Represent Coface at external events and coordinate presence in targeted events to strengthen brand and product awareness
  • Actively ensure compliance with all Coface policies and procedures

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead, coach, and motivate the UKI commercial team to achieve ambitious sales goals
  • Conduct regular performance review, set KPIs, and ensure skills development across the team
  • Encourage a culture of accountability, collaboration, and client focus

Client & Market Engagement:

  • Strengthen relationships with key clients, brokers, and partners to maximize retention and growth
  • Champion customer-centric solutions in collaboration with underwriting, risk, and service teams
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adapt sales approaches effectively

Reporting & Forecasting:

  • Ensure regular and accurate sale reporting, including pipeline status, forecasts and profitability
  • Present results and strategic recommendations to senior management
  • Contribute to cross-border projects and business planning at the region level

Qualifications

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Banking or equivalent

Experience

  • Minimum of 10+ years’ of experience in B2B sales or commercial leadership roles, ideally in financial services or insurance
  • Proven expression managing teams and leading strategic sales initiatives
  • Strong understanding of UK market dynamics and customer expectations

  • Strong leadership in a hands-on and strategic mindset
  • Results-oriented and data-driven, with excellent analytical and planning skills
