This role is perfect for someone early in their career who is eager to learn and make an impact in a fast-paced fintech environment. As an SDR, you’ll work closely with the Growth and Sales teams to help generate new business opportunities, qualify leads, and support TrueLayer’s continued growth. Your responsibilities will include outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and working collaboratively with internal teams, with plenty of support and mentorship along the way.
Key Responsibilities- Outbound Prospecting: Identify and research potential leads using LinkedIn, CRM data (HubSpot), and industry resources. You'll develop expertise in understanding key accounts and decision-makers.
- Lead Qualification: Qualify inbound leads and proactively reach out to prospects, assessing fit for TrueLayer’s solutions. This includes managing incoming channels and ensuring timely, helpful responses.
- Pipeline Development: Meet and exceed individual targets while contributing to the overall sales team goals by generating high-quality leads that make a real difference.
- Sales Discovery Calls: Conduct discovery calls to understand the prospect's needs and position TrueLayer’s products accordingly, setting the stage for follow-up sales conversations.
- Collaboration: Partner with sales and marketing teams to refine messaging, improve lead generation tactics, and share valuable insights from prospect interactions.
- Content Creation: Help develop tailored content for prospects, including one-pagers and messaging suggestions, and collaborate with the marketing team on creative projects.
- Product Feedback: Share valuable insights gathered from prospect conversations, identifying common objections, challenges, and trends that could inform product development.
- Target Achievement: Work towards quarterly opportunity targets with support from your manager and team
- Lead Handoffs: Ensure a smooth, collaborative transition of qualified leads to the sales team for follow-up.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze your outreach data, refine your approach, and implement feedback to continuously develop your skills and contribute to team success
- Curious Learner: We don't expect you to have deep domain knowledge of open banking or fintech—we'll help you build that expertise. We're looking for someone who's genuinely curious and excited to learn.
- Strong Communicator: Clear, authentic, and persuasive communication skills are important, whether you're doing cold outreach, discovery calls, or written communication.
- Adaptable & Persistent: Sales can be challenging—we want someone who stays positive and solutions-focused, even when things don't go as planned. We'll support you through the learning curve.
- Goal-Oriented: You enjoy working towards targets and find satisfaction in tracking your progress and celebrating wins (big and small).
- Organized & Thoughtful: As you'll be managing multiple tasks and building relationships with various stakeholders, strong time management and attention to detail will help you succeed.
