About the Role:

As a Sales Development Representative at BMLL, you will engage with leading global capital markets organisations, including tier-one hedge funds, asset managers, and investment banks. Your primary focus will be on identifying opportunities, building relationships, and showcasing how BMLL’s datasets and applications enhance client workflows and trading decisions. This role puts you at the forefront of market technology, collaborating with world-class financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own early-stage opportunity development by engaging target accounts and inbound leads.
  • Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline through account research, identifying key decision-makers, and nurturing relationships into sales-ready opportunities.
  • Take a consultative, qualification-led approach to understand prospects’ businesses, goals, and challenges; run first-level qualification meetings and hand off qualified opportunities to Sales.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Product to qualify leads, drive pipeline, and execute outbound campaigns across key segments.
  • Maintain high CRM (HubSpot) standards to ensure seamless handoffs across teams.
  • Provide feedback to the go-to-market organisation to support continuous process and performance improvements.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • Strong interest in financial markets, technology, data, and institutional trading.
  • Proactive self-starter with high motivation, resilience, and a desire to learn and grow in a commercial role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence to engage senior stakeholders, including cold outreach.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities, capable of prioritising tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Some experience in customer-facing roles through internships, placements, or part-time work.
  • Quick to grasp complex concepts and translate them into clear, compelling client conversations.
  • Comfortable with standard business tools (e.g., Google Workspace, MS Office) and eager to learn CRM and sales platforms (e.g., HubSpot).
  • Collaborative team player who works effectively with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams.
  • High standards, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a growth mindset.
