Sales Development Representative

Location: Remote, UK


The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is a business development position that performs outbound prospecting, qualification, and sales nurturing to support new sales of e2open’s SaaS supply chain solutions. The Sales Development Representative researches and reaches out to relevant stakeholders, aligned to a focused group of accounts, in an effort to vet mutually aligned supply chain initiatives.  A successful SDR must navigate high level business conversations; positioning e2open value & educating the prospect on e2’s unique ability to complement their business challenges. Once basic discovery occurs, the SDR passes the qualified sales opportunity to internal leadership for resource assignment, who is responsible for further pursuit & maturation of the sales cycle. 

The Sales Development Representative shall follow best practices to hit monthly, quarterly, and annual goals. A successful SDR must respectfully interact with & leverage Field Marketing & Marketing Operations & Analytics functions to drive pipeline. They will leverage predictive insights from e2open’s marketing technology and other data resources.  SDR outbound messaging is meant to be personalized, using a multi-channel approach to yield qualified prospects and generate quality pipeline.

The Sales Development role is intended to be a strategic execution function. The SDR position is positioned to help grow your professional persona, expose you to tier 1 technology infrastructure, and deliver results- creating a path for long term career success within e2open.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leverage e2open’s marketing technology platforms to personalize outreach
  • Intelligently craft strategic methodology to outbound prospecting
  • Understand e2open’s unique value proposition & be able to articulate during initial discovery calls
  • Develop and nurture relationships using multi-channel prospecting tactics (including email cadences, voice and text outreach, video creation, social media engagement, etc.)
  • Understand business use cases of your portfolio of accounts and position e2open’s value to address account’s business challenges (i.e., how can e2 help)
  • Follow defined operational processes to ensure Salesforce CRM is the single source of truth
  • Partner with ecosystem of internal stakeholders (Field Marketing, Area Sales Directors) to define and execute a successful prospecting strategy for your portfolio of accounts
  • Research new and existing databases and ensure all relevant personas, which are part of the buying committee, are part of the account record
  • Complete mandatory, standard BANT (budget, authority, need, timeframe) information and other critical data to qualify the opportunity before passing to dedicated ASD
  • Additional duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-3+ years of business development, sales development, or sales experience
  • Proven success in sales-oriented role
  • Refined business acumen
  • An understanding of account-based marketing and sales strategies
  • Ability to work independently and reliably
  • Ability to navigate corporate structures to identify decision makers and determine buying process.
  • Strong organizational skills (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly planning)
  • Excellent communication skills (listening, verbal, written)
  • Achievement driven (performance focused)
  • Strong interpersonal skills (ability to purposely capitalize upon relationships)
  • Ability to be assertive and persuasive without being aggressive
  • Preferred qualifications:
    • College Degree
    • Familiarity with e2open’s technology stack (Salesforce, SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, LI SalesNav)
    • Experience giving presentations highly preferred
