Driftrock is hiring its first Sales Development Representative to build the outbound engine that fills our pipeline with the world's biggest automotive brands.

Quick facts
  • Team: Commercial
  • Reports to: Commercial Director
  • Location: Remote based in the UK
  • Contract: Full-time, permanent
  • Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 base, with OTE and share options
  • Start date: As soon as we find the right person
Why this role exists

Driftrock helps the world's biggest automotive and e-mobility brands turn marketing into real vehicle sales. Demand for what we do is growing, and we want a repeatable, predictable way to start conversations with the right people at the right accounts.

This is our first dedicated SDR role, so you will own outbound from the ground up. You will decide how we find and reach target accounts, build the sequences and systems that make it repeatable, and use AI to do the work of a much larger team. The pipeline you create feeds directly into new business, which makes this one of the most visible and valued roles in the company.

What you'll own

You will be accountable for the top of our new-business pipeline: the volume and quality of qualified meetings and opportunities created from both outbound prospecting and inbound leads.

Your first 90 days
  • By day 30: you have mapped our ideal customer profile, our target account list, and the tools and data already in place, and you understand how leads flow through to the sales team today.
  • By day 60: you have launched your first outbound sequences and AI-assisted workflows, and qualified meetings are landing in the calendar.
  • By day 90: you are booking qualified meetings every week from a repeatable, documented playbook, with clear reporting on what is working.
What you'll be doing
  • Build and run outbound end to end, from target account research through to booked meetings, without waiting for a playbook to be handed to you.
  • Qualify and route inbound leads quickly, so genuine buyers reach the sales team while they are still warm.
  • Design multi-channel sequences across email, phone, LinkedIn and video, and iterate on messaging based on what actually converts.
  • Use AI tools for research, list building, enrichment, personalisation and drafting, so you operate with the output of a full team.
  • Research target accounts, including automotive brands, retailers and e-mobility companies, and map the right people to reach within them.
  • Keep the CRM clean and current, so pipeline reporting is something the whole commercial team can trust.
  • Report on outbound performance and share what is working, turning your own experiments into a documented playbook others can build on.
What you'll bring
  • A track record of creating qualified pipeline as an SDR or in a similar outbound role, ideally in B2B software.
  • The independence to own outbound solo, set your own priorities, and get on with the job with light oversight.
  • Strong, credible written and spoken communication that gets busy senior people to reply.
  • Fluency with AI tools for prospecting and outreach, and a habit of finding new ones to work faster and smarter.
  • Comfort with modern sales tooling: CRM, sequencing and prospecting platforms, and lead enrichment.
  • A structured, experiment-driven approach: you measure what you do and improve it week on week.
  • Self-motivation and resilience, and the drive to keep starting conversations even on the quiet days.

Bonus points

  • Experience selling into automotive, mobility or another enterprise B2B market.
  • Experience being the first or only SDR, or otherwise building an outbound function from scratch.
  • Familiarity with marketing technology, lead generation or advertising platforms.
Why Driftrock

Driftrock's mission is to become the world-leading automotive and e-mobility marketing software platform, and help accelerate the transition to clean transport.

We work with some of the world's biggest brands, including BMW, BYD, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo, and partner with the world's leading platforms, including Meta, Google, mobile.de and Auto Trader.

We've been building since 2013, and our work enables billions of euros in vehicle sales every year.

We're a close, fully remote team of 35 people across engineering, design, customer success, performance and commercial, spread across the world.

That means your work has a real, visible impact on our product, our culture and how we operate.

We're at the cutting edge of marketing technology, with plenty of room to unlock value from data and to help speed up the shift to electric vehicles.

How we work is shaped by four values:

  • We care: about our team, our customers, and the people who see the marketing messages that we power. Work isn't done until we can prove it's useful to both the consumer and the customer.
  • Be that person: if something needs fixing, fix it. It's never someone else's problem.
  • People-first: we put people at the core of everything, and never compromise security or privacy for results.
  • Be better today than you were yesterday: we bake learning and continuous improvement into everything we do, for ourselves and our customers.

In practice, this looks like weekly Monday Showcases where we share what we're learning, regular retros, a budget to attend the courses and conferences that grow you, Donut coffee pairings to stay connected, and an annual company Summit that brings the whole global team together in person.

What's in it for you

We're remote-first and flexible about how and where you work, with co-working space available if you want it. Alongside your salary:

  • Share options in Driftrock, on founder-friendly, tax-efficient EMI terms, including the option to retain vested options after leaving (at board discretion).
  • Comprehensive Vitality health cover: medical, dental, vision, hearing, mental-health support and therapy, cancer cover, a free Headspace subscription and Vitality rewards.
  • 24 to 28 days' holiday (24 + 1 extra each year, capped at 28), plus bank holidays.
  • Pension contributions, life assurance (3x salary) and income protection.
  • Electric car salary-sacrifice scheme (Octopus): save up to ~40%, with insurance, servicing and a charging perk included.
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave.
  • A learning budget for books, courses and conferences, plus time for personal goals.
  • Perks and discounts via CharlieHR, and a BMW Group employee discount programme.
Our hiring process
  1. A short intro call.
  2. A conversation with the hiring manager.
  3. A practical task based on real challenges, never unpaid spec work.
  4. A final conversation with the team.
