As a Founding Sales Development Representative, (SDR), you will help expand our customer base by connecting with prospective customers, understanding their unique needs, and identifying the best way to position Toast. You’ll have the opportunity to master your sales skills in an environment that fosters continuous learning and growth.

About this roll* (Responsibilities) 

  • Handle Inbound marketing leads and set up product demonstrations for Field Account Executives.
  • Collaborate with Field Account Executive Teams as well as the marketing team to develop creative outreach strategies.
  • Leverage prospecting skills and relationships to build partnerships with restaurants.
  • Be the voice of the customer and share valuable feedback cross-functionally.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and determine how to best position Toast in the market.

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

  • Excellent written and verbal communcation skills
  • Passion for sales and a desire to work in a results-driven environment
  • High customer empathy and ability to handle objections
  • 6+ months experience in an SDR or BDR role
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to be able to keep track of many opportunities at one time
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and flexible with the ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Experience canvassing and cold-calling into various types of local businesses, with evidence of success preferred.
