At R3, we are building the on-ramp for the next trillion dollars of assets to move onchain, bridging the worlds of traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi). We are launching a Solana-native protocol purpose-built to bring real-world assets into onchain capital markets, starting by integrating with our existing Corda-based asset networks. 

The Role

R3 is looking for a driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to provide pre-sales support to our Field Sales Organization. The SDR is tasked with identifying and generating sales meetings and opportunities through both inbound and outbound activities.

The SDR will service inbound leads and other inquiries with the goal of engaging and qualifying prospective customers. Additionally, the SDR will align closely with our Account Executives and Marketing Team to create and execute on outbound lead generation campaigns. This role is focused on conducting market research to identify opportunities in targets accounts in your territory and performing outreach through email, phone, and social. This role will play a key role in the execution of the go-to-market strategy that defines the future of the internet capital markets.

The SDR is often the first point of contact for our prospective clients so you must be able to demonstrate high levels of professionalism, probe for business challenges and articulate ways in which R3’s Blockchain/Distributed Ledger Technology can solve their problems.

Responsibiltiies

  • Respond, engage and qualify inbound leads to identify new sales opportunities
  • Work closely with your dedicated Account Executives (AE) to build account intelligence, identify key contacts and opportunities through direct account engagement and research
  • Analyse market trends as part of the GTM strategy and identify how they create opportunities for target accounts
  • Develop and execute a strong prospecting plan of attack through both phone and email campaigns
  • Perform continuous verbal and written outreach via phone, email and social with the goal of gaining interest, setting appointments and sourcing pipeline
  • Interact with prospects via phone and email with a high attention to detail and level of curiosity
  • Act as the subject matter expert on Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology and R3’s product offerings to best educate leads and nurture them until they are ready to talk to an AE
  • Help build awareness and drive attendance to special projects and events
  • Take detailed notes and keep an up to date record of all lead and account information in Salesforce.com 
  • Consistently achieve assigned quotas 

Required Skills

  • Sales Experience:
  • 2+ years in business development, inside sales, or sales
  • Some closing experience is a strong plus
  • Proven track record of exceeding targets in previous roles
  • Strong understanding of SDR and lead development best practices and processes

  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts at a high level and articulate business value clearly

  • Tools & Industry Knowledge
  • Experience with Salesforce.com, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, and Outreach (strongly preferred)
  • Background or interest in financial technology (fintech) is a strong plus
