Role Overview

Mention Me is looking for a Sales Development Representative (Maternity Cover). This is an outbound-focused SDR role at Mention Me, responsible for generating and qualifying new business pipeline for the Account Executive team. The SDR will prospect into ecommerce and marketing brands that fit Mention Me's Ideal Customer Profile, using a mix of outreach and leveraging AI to personalise outreach at scale.

Day-to-day, the role involves researching target accounts, booking and running qualification calls with key decision-makers, uncovering pain points, and tailoring Mention Me's product pitch accordingly. The SDR will also collaborate closely with Marketing, Partnerships, and Sales on multi-touch campaigns, while keeping CRM data clean and tracking outreach metrics to continually improve conversion.

This role is a 12 month FTC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively prospect: engage and qualify new business opportunities through calls, emails, Apollo ai and LinkedIn outreach. Creative approach to selling and directly aligning our offering to the persona’s pain points.
  • Drive outbound success: Research and target high-potential ecommerce and marketing brands that align with our Ideal Customer Profile.
  • Lead with insight: Confidently introduce Mention Me’s suite of products, tailoring your pitch to each prospect’s marketing challenges.
  • Book and run qualification calls: Engage key decision-makers, uncover pain points, and set up high-quality meetings for our Account Executives.
  • Collaborate to convert: Work closely with Marketing, Partnerships, and Sales teams to build multi-touch campaigns and accelerate pipeline growth.
  • Stay proactive and data-driven: Keep your CRM spotless, track outreach metrics, and continually optimise your outreach for better conversion rates.
  • Hit goals and go beyond: Meet and exceed monthly activity and qualified opportunity targets.

Requirements

We'd love to meet you if you:

  • Have a proven track record in outbound sales, with success booking and converting qualified opportunities.
  • Bring a true hunter mentality and are motivated by targets, driven by growth, and never afraid to pick up the phone.
  • Have experience selling across multiple products or solutions, ideally in SaaS, marketing technology, or agency environments.
  • Are solution-oriented, able to understand a brand’s challenges and position Mention Me’s offering as the answer.
  • Have excellent communication skills: articulate, persuasive, and engaging both in writing and on calls.
  • Are self-motivated, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
