About the Role
Quvia is seeking a Sales & Account Director, who will be responsible for the sales and account management of Quvia’s solutions and services within the Commercial Shipping business unit. Reporting to the SVP of Energy, Commercial Shipping and Enterprise, you will be an individual contributor within the Commercial Shipping team, and will be entrusted with prospecting new business and developing some of our global accounts.
What You'll Do
- Customer growth and retention through strategic selling.
- Generate new sales opportunities, deliver sales presentations, negotiate, and close sales deals.
- Work with the technical solutions experts to create innovative and compelling proposals.
- Prospect, educate, qualify, and develop opportunities in existing and new accounts to identify profitable revenue streams.
- Proactively engage various teams within Quvia to ensure appropriate levels of direct customer support.
- Establish, develop, strengthen and maintain relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels to achieve the objectives of the company as a whole.
- Participate in the development of strategic customer planning sessions and reviews to ensure organizational alignment with customer needs and desires.
- Consistently maintain a robust sales pipeline that supports and exceeds revenue forecasts.
- Generate new ideas for service and product opportunities.
- Attend industry events to network with relevant stakeholders, gain industry insight and represent Quvia in the marketplace.
- Perform reporting and administrative activities such as:
- Work closely with the Finance team to ensure customer billing accuracies and support AR escalations.
- Prepare periodic reports on sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
- Maintain accuracy of online systems designed to report status and progress, i.e., CRM customer contacts and sales opportunities.
What You'll Need
- Degree holder in Business Management, Telecommunication, Computer Science, or other related disciplines.
- Typically, not less than 5 years’ experience with 3+ years in software/telecom/technology/managed services sales (solution sales approach) and selling to the Commercial Shipping industry.
- A proven track record of consistently maintaining a robust sales pipeline that contributed to exceeding revenue forecasts.
- Knowledge of spreadsheet software and sales-related software
- Must have business savvy, strong presentation and negotiation skills, and ability to close deals – engagement to closure.
- Ability to solve practical problems.
- Positive mindset, result-oriented, high level of initiative and integrity.
- Hands-on attitude to solve problems and capture opportunities
- Strong business acumen and work independently and think strategically.
- A team player and adaptable.
