Position Summary

Why join our team?
A team of 26, handling all aspects of Account Receivables including credit limit management, order release, chasing outstanding monies, verification of claims, eCommerce back office, account reconciliations and cash allocations. Targeted on collections, ageing profiles and query turnaround times. Works alongside the Risk Management team and for the Director of Financial Operations.

This role will support the Risk Manager, AR in collating all AR reports and handling all data and reporting required for both internal and external audits. They will develop and track claims audits and all related reporting to support the Verification team. Alongside this the role will lead all AR projects created to improve and automate processes within the team.

Role and Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

  • To learn, manage and continually develop all reports and audit management, ensuring all deadlines are met and data is supplied and stored accurately

  • To identify process improvements through the reporting and via requests from the business. Map, document, co-ordinate and deliver

  • To track and lead all non-standard AR data projects

  • To assist in accrual/ balance sheet management, providing summary reporting both internally and to the customer

  • Part of the Risk reporting team in AR - you will fully understand all regular Suwon and local AR reporting and complete each request accurately and on time

  • To work with both internal and external audit teams throughout the year, actioning requests and being fully versed in all processes to answer questions accurately

  • Complete AR forecast each month within 97% accuracy

  • To maintain all AR process documents and complete global policy and procedure manual (GPPM) audit

  • Reconcile Samsung Insurance and data contract accounts (SamsungCare+ and AO) on a monthly basis and work with related teams to review, improve and automate where possible

  • Be a co-ordinating point for new initiatives from DTC and B2B. Work with PICs and AR team to ensure secure reconciliation processes in place and process flows are held centrally, updated regularly

  • Work on Suwon project eg Cashback/ Promotool and develop AR processes to improve and automate, enhancing consumer experience and building in efficiencies

  • Track completion of all customers’ claims by quarter to support the management of the balance sheet with the Commercial Finance teams, allowing tighter accrual management for the business. Track customer audit and Full and Final completion.

  • Working with internal and external PIC for projects, audit and reporting

  • Involvement in adhoc Suwon and business requests and projects

What we need for this role

To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Educated to an honours’ degree level in Finance or equivalent experience in an accounting /AR team with data reconciliation and project experience, preferably in a corporate environment. Strong Excel skills and to be competent in completing Vlookup and Pivot Tables.

  • Target focused, highly organised and efficient worker with strong attention to detail, able to work under pressure and to deadlines. Exceptional accuracy and enjoys spreadsheet work, presenting data and delivering a high level of customer service.

  • Experience of SAP

  • Experience working with large data files

  • Happy to work in a large team

  • Familiar with documenting Policies and Procedures

What does success look like?

This role requires a self-starter who is motivated by end results. It requires a person who is able to positively challenge the accuracy of process implementation.

The interview process

Two interviews. The first will be with candidate and two AR Managers, one will be Hanna Yereshchenko.

If successful, the second interview will be with the Head of AR, Karen Edwards
