We are offering a unique 12-month internship opportunity for a motivated and analytical individual to gain hands-on experience in Enterprise Risk Management. This placement will provide rotational exposure across the Risk Partners area and the Centre of Excellence (CoE) team, supporting a broad range of activities that help our business manage risk effectively.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your understanding of enterprise risk management practices, build professional skills, and contribute to meaningful initiatives that impact business resilience and performance.

Key Responsibilities

During your rotation in the Risk Partners team, you will:

  • Support the delivery of Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) across business teams and functions
  • Assist with identifying and evaluating key risks and controls
  • Contribute to the development and tracking of risk mitigation plans
  • Participate in risk maturity assessments and help evaluate the effectiveness of risk activities and behaviours across Swift
  • Liaise with business stakeholders to support the implementation of risk policies and practices

During the rotation in the Risk Centre of Excellence (CoE) team, the Enterprise Risk Intern will work on a range of activities closely supporting colleagues within the different disciplines of the Risk CoE. This includes

  • Data analysis, data management and drawing insight from organisational wide risk information
  • Supporting reporting development of training materials
  • Supporting developments in Swift’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework

Competency Profile

  • Curious, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Keen interest in and desire to learn more about Risk Management
  • Strong analysis, review and challenge skills
  • Good communicator able to engage proactively with stakeholders from across the Risk Department and wider Company
  • Customer & solution oriented. Ability to find new and creative ways to solve problems
  • Collaborative, strong teamworking skills and willing to ask questions when uncertain
  • Driven by taking on a number of activities and able to adapt flexibly to achieve needed outcomes
  • Active interest in the financial services industry.

Education:

  • Currently studying towards (2nd or penultimate year), or recent completion of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Preferably an analytical or technical specialism.

Experience:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
