A fantastic opportunity to join the Risk and Compliance department, reporting into the Risk and Compliance Manager you will be responsible for Liaising with insurers and clients to reach the best resolution, to ensure we meet the needs of the client, insurer and company.
Location - Dartford - The role will be solely office based during probation but may require occasional travel for client visits, off-site training, and other meetings as and when required.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing client-facing inboxes and liaising with members of the sales team.
• Investigating grumbles and insurer complaints.
• Writing formal emails to both clients and insurers.
• Dealing with client issues & claims assistance.
• Liaising with insurers and other staff members.
• QA compliance checks and listening to sales calls.
• Keep up to date with insurer/product change and any compliance/regulatory matters.
• Ensure company databases are kept up to date with adequate notes.
• Any other duties that are reasonably expected to fulfil the role of a Risk and Compliance Adviser.
• To ensure customers receive a service that meets their needs and supporting customers should they need assistance.
• Providing clear information about products and terms & conditions so it is easy for customers to make informed decisions.
• Providing support to team members to ensure they have the knowledge to deliver a service which is compliant with our consumer duty.

Regulatory
• Adhere to the principles set by the FCA.
• Adhere to Howden service standards and procedures, accepted good market practice, and the CII Code of Ethics, to ensure the best interest of the client at all times.
• Ensure compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations.
• Ensure all records and communications with clients are accurately recorded and filed in the correct manner.
• Comply with the Bribery Act 2010, and other such applicable regulations in place from time to time.
• Ensure that you do not breach any applicable sanctions imposed, or deal with embargoed entities.
• Comply with relevant anti-money laundering regulations in place from time to time.
Experience & Professional Qualifications
Experience in complaints or compliance. Previous experience in customer service.
Knowledge
Having an understanding of complaints procedure, compliance principles & regulatory matters.
