Role overview:

The successful candidate will join our 'In Life Growth Team' for PlayStation Plus, a team responsible for monetising the existing customer base – utilising all commercial leavers to drive the best customer lifetime value from our players. This role will be responsible for supporting the creation and delivery of the PlayStation Plus new growth strategy. Owning the pricing strategy is a significant element of this role with a focus on developing in detail the ongoing roadmap, initiatives and tracking the CLV impact – sharing with senior leadership and driving any projects forward.

The role is highly collaborative, focussed on driving critical metrics across the business that support customer revenue growth – Collaborating closely with Product, Channel Sales and Partnership teams, alongside the wider PlayStation Plus team to implement and build aligning and complimentary plans.

You will be required to work at a global level – understanding global vs local behaviours and adapting plans appropriately. This will involve working across all partner teams with colleagues in Europe, America and Asia to agree, communicate and deploy business plans.

New growth plans are delivered through pricing strategy, business partnerships and bundling initiatives – All are key drivers of our growth and unlock investment back into our proposition. You must have strong analytical, business casing and strategy experience, in addition to partnership or B2B experience.

What you'll be doing:

Pricing Strategy:

  • Owning, formulating and delivering the PlayStation Plus pricing optimisation strategy, tracking metrics like FX rates and local affordability metrics
  • Collaborate with local hub leads to gather and understand barriers to plus growth and share details of pricing/new growth plans
  • Lead the tracking and sharing of updates on customer lifetime value trends, informing the wider services team on risks and ops
  • Identify revenue risks and opportunities, creating mitigation/go faster plans where appropriate
  • Track competitor pricing strategies – building updates to better understand changes being made globally and how they impact Plus

New Growth:

  • Lead new growth opportunities – driving our partnership teams to onboard new incentives and feed agreed ops into the wider services teams
  • Work closely with our business development teams, B2B leads and channel sales to deliver impactful initiatives growing Plus
  • Unlock plans around bundling, driving plus attach to point of sale hardware – leading on business casing and impact sizing
  • Lead the B2B strategy, growing its reach, improving processes and enabling scale globally for local leads to deliver against
  • Deliver detailed post implementation reviews (PIR’s) on all key initiatives ensuring impacts are understood and ‘improvements’ can be planned
  • Communicate new growth plans to secure consensus and feedback from all levels across PlayStation
  • Work closely with our business development, strategy and channel sales teams to formulate and deliver new growth roadmap

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years (or equivalent) subscription background with proven commercial experience
  • B2B or Partnership experience
  • Proven expertise in the planning, execution and leadership of business plans
  • Strong analytical, business casing and strategy planning
  • Partnerships background and understanding advantageous
  • Proven innovation and growth mindset with solution focused attitude
  • Creative instinct and ability to think laterally about business planning
  • Commercial awareness of the games market and consumer entertainment markets
  • Collaboration skills with experience working with many teams to deliver results
  • Experience working globally preferred
