Job Description:

Due to expansion and continued business growth, Hitachi Energy are hiring a Revenue Assurance & Assistant Controller to join our Enterprise Software business this role is hybrid working from our Woking office as well as from home.

You’ll support preparation of relevant organization financial reporting, business planning, budgeting and forecasting and assist European controller in preparation of annual budgeting process and submission.

As part of this position, you’ll Identify areas for process / report standardization across different countries, as well as provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports, presentation of findings and analysis.

About the role:

  • Collaborate with local management to understand reporting needs and requirements to prepare executive level presentations (power point, excel, power bi)

  • Analyze contracts and confer with various departments to detect ambiguities, inaccurate statements or omissions of essential terms or information

  • Review, provide and ensure contracts are in line with Software revenue recognition prior to signature

  • Manage orders and orders reporting

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly variance analysis of actual financial results against budget and forecast for management and assist with Internal & external audits

  • Validate accuracy of financial data and business information and reports by performing reconciliation and review of exceptions

  • Ensure processes and controls within own area of responsibility are designed and implemented in line with Group and unit requirements.

  • Maintain proper audit trail and documentation for future tax / internal / external audits and reviews

  • Prepare SOPs for all activities performed.

Your background:

  • Proven experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, in a Software company.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work on multiple systems like SAP, BW, Power BI and Salesforce.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Hands on experience in SAP FICO modules
