Job Summary
To manage and execute the fee billing and rebate processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with agreements. This role combines responsibility for both fee and rebate calculations, payments, and reporting, as well as maintaining and improving related systems and processes. The successful candidate will be a key user of revenue management systems, provide management information, and drive process automation and data integrity.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the fee billing function, including production of base and performance fee invoices, debtor follow-up, and status reporting.
- Calculate and process rebates, ensuring prompt and accurate payments to intermediaries.
- Maintain and ensure the integrity of Revenue Manager and other dependant systems (including static data and regular updates).
- Review client agreements and ensure system data matches contractual terms.
- Provide accurate and timely management information (MI) on fees and rebates to internal stakeholders.
- Calculate and post month-end income accruals and invoices.
- Maintain and update departmental procedures when applicable.
- Monitor and improve data feeds and automate processes where possible.
- Act as a key contact for rebate and fee issues, supporting both finance, product and sales teams.
- Fulfil additional tasks as required by the business.
- To ensure that the static data is well maintained, accurate and useful.
- To ensure that the accounting entries for accruals and fees are prepared accurately and are ready for review in a timely manner for relevant Barings Companies.
- To provide accurate, timely and relevant Management Information relating to Rebates and Revenue to internal clients.
- Fulfil additional, relevant, tasks appropriate to the role and business requirements
- Continually improve and automate the fees and rebate process.
- Monitor Data feeds; Aladdin, ICON, MFTA, Clearstream and State Street
- Make changes to static data were appropriate.
Qualifications
- Finance and Accounting background preferred
- Strong analytical and data management skills.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with SQL, Power Query, Power BI preferred.
- Experience with revenue management systems (Revport, Envestnet Revenue Manager, or similar).
- Experience or interest in Amazon Quicksight is a plus.
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
