Overview of the Role: 

The Responsible Investment (RI) Strategy Analyst/Associate will function in a support role for the RI Strategy Team, a client-centric team focused on creating opportunities in RI through utilization of market expertise, understanding of client needs, research and thought leadership, regulatory strategy and product innovation capabilities. The RI Strategy team is an engine of forward RI commercial vision. This role will be based in London 

Key responsibilities will include: 

• Support the development and execution of the international RI commercial strategy including collaboration across the business 

• Support RI innovation and competitiveness by undertaking deep market, client and competitor research 

• Support the sales process including RFP response process, partnering with subject matter experts and through leveraging RI databases 

• Conduct research and generate insights on ESG themes for dissemination firm-wide with a goal of raising awareness and creating dialogue around RI topics 

• Support build out of RI Thought Leadership capabilities and creation of content priorities based on evolving client needs and market themes 

• Anticipate and support RI regulatory commercial implications and changes globally 

• Participate in industry groups and events on behalf of Nuveen 

Qualifications & Experience Required  

• Degree or equivalent required; postgraduate qualification in relevant subjects preferred.

• CFA; CFA Certificate in ESG Investing preferred. 

• Experience in sustainability as an analyst within an asset owner, wealth manager, asset manager or consultant  

• Strong knowledge of and interest in ESG integration, sustainable investments, climate and nature transition  

• Solid understanding of investment concepts across asset classes and funds 

• Proven track record of working across a range of stakeholders  

• Ability to work creatively and independently 

• Strong analytical and project management skills 

• Flexibility to adapt to business and client requirements as they emerge
