Resource Management Lead,UK

Location: London (mostly on-site)

Dual reporting: COO, UK & Resource Management lead, EMEA

Edelman is a global communications firm built for the now. As an independent, family-owned business, we’re free to invest in our people and our work in ways that drive long-term value — and help our clients lead with purpose.

We’re looking for a strategic and people-focused Resource Management Lead to shape how we deploy talent across our largest and most complex hub in EMEA. This is a high-impact role for a leader who can balance operational excellence, stakeholder influence, and workforce insight with a strong sense of collaboration and inclusivity.

The opportunity

Resource Management is the engine that ensures we bring together the right people, at the right time, to deliver exceptional work. As the UK lead, you will:

  • Guide and grow the UK RM team, building a strong culture of clarity, fairness, and proactive problem-solving.

  • Partner with UK leadership to align workforce planning with business goals.

  • Drive cross-market collaboration, ensuring UK talent is positioned for regional and global client success.

  • Champion RM tools and data, enabling consistent, forward-looking insights on capacity and capability.

  • Lead the integration of AI into RM workflows, shaping new, tech-enabled ways of working.

You’ll play a key role in shaping both local strategy and contributing to EMEA-wide and global RM priorities — from new business readiness to AI-enabled resourcing models.

What you’ll bring
  • Deep experience in resource management, workforce planning, operations or talent deployment — ideally in a complex, matrixed environment.

  • Strong leadership skills, with a focus on team development and cross-functional influence.

  • A strategic, data-informed mindset with the ability to translate insights into action.

  • Comfort navigating ambiguity, setting priorities, and aligning multiple stakeholders.

  • Experience leading or supporting transformation efforts (e.g. systems implementation, process improvement, or AI integration).

  • A collaborative, transparent style rooted in empathy and clarity.

Why Edelman?

We offer:

  • A collaborative, inclusive culture where curiosity and courage are rewarded.

  • The opportunity to influence how work gets done in one of the most influential communications firms in the world.

  • A truly global network, with opportunities to contribute across borders.

  • A chance to build future-facing RM practices — from AI-enabled planning to scalable regional delivery models.

We are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t perfectly align with every qualification, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
