We are looking for an enthusiastic and curious Research Manager to join the YouGov Sport consumer team.

You will help some of the biggest domestic and international sports rights-holders, sponsor brands, agencies and media owners to make better and more informed decisions through market leading research solutions.

 We work with the foremost domestic and international sports leagues, teams, and sponsors, advising on how they should optimise their investments for increased return. We deliver exceptional client servicing and provide unrivalled commercial insights by listening carefully to our clients’ needs.
What will I be doing day to day?

  • Consultative approach to efficient and effective management of nominated key Consumer Research accounts and clients.
  • Proactive excellent client service – by way of management, guidance and communications with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Determine optimal research solutions to meet clients’ needs and that deliver clear commercial value.
  • Ensure that best working practices are adhered to so that scheduled work is delivered in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Managing clear expectation settings in terms of the full research process to final deliverables, with a primary focus on Quantitative research techniques.
  • Use existing skills and knowledge to assist in the submission of new business tenders.

What do I need to bring with me?

  • 5+ years’ experience in a market research role
  • Excellent client focus and handling skills (with a strong focus on commercial outcomes)
  • Ability to deliver results, meet deadlines and manage time effectively
  • A flair for the creative and coherent presentation of data-driven results; visually bringing the story alive
  • Practical use and experience of major market research techniques and tools
  • Experience, excellent knowledge and a high level of interest in the sport sector.
  • A proven ability to successfully manage diverse and multi-faceted projects and successfully implement changes as a result.
  • Broad knowledge and experience of presenting a wide range of commercial topics to a variety of stakeholders
  • A team player – enjoys working as part of a team, and open to learning from and passing knowledge on to others in the team and winder business unit
  • Microsoft Office experience essential, including Excel and Powerpoint to a high standard
  • Educated to at least degree standard
  • Fluent written and spoken English
