Summary of the role:
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and curious Research Manager to join YouGov’s Sports Consumer team. In this role, you’ll partner with some of the world’s leading sports rights-holders, sponsor brands, agencies, and media owners, helping them make smarter, more informed decisions through market-leading research and insight.
You’ll take a consultative, client-first approach, delivering high-impact quantitative research solutions that drive commercial value and strengthen long-term client relationships.
Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff):
- Lead and grow key consumer sports research accounts through excellent client service and trusted advisory support
- Work closely with clients and internal teams to design optimal research solutions that address commercial challenges
- Deliver high-quality quantitative research projects, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and best practice throughout
- Manage client expectations across the full research lifecycle, from briefing to final deliverables
- Present insights clearly and creatively, bringing data to life through compelling storytelling
- Support new business development, including proposals and tenders
- Collaborate with colleagues across the business to deliver best-in-class insight and service
These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview:
- 5+ years’ experience in market research, ideally within consumer or sports research
- Strong client leadership skills with a commercial, outcomes-focused mindset
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders
- Expertise in quantitative research methods and tools
- A strong interest in — and understanding of — the sports sector
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to translate data into clear, engaging stories
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
