The role 

As our Requirements and Configuration Manager, you will play a critical role in building the foundation of how we manage requirements and configuration across all our products. This role requires you to bring state of the art, AI-first thinking to an industry known for its complexity, helping us deliver automotive-grade quality software in an efficient, and pragmatic way.

Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring traceability, compliance, and adaptability of our requirements and configuration processes, while supporting the delivery of innovative AI solutions that will define the future of the automotive sector.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the Requirements Framework: Develop and maintain the requirement structural setting for all our products, ensuring consistency and adaptability across projects and products.
  • Set Up and Manage Tools: Configure and manage Jama Connect for requirements management, including creating all necessary plugins and integrations with other tools like Jira, test tools, architecture tools, and configuration management tools to ensure full traceability.
  • Lead Change Management: Own and refine the change management process, ensuring all requirement, test, and artifact updates are properly reviewed, traced, and adapted throughout the system.
  • Lead Configuration Management: Design and oversee our configuration management process, select and implement the right tool, and ensure full A-SPICE compliance.
  • Drive Efficiency: Establish streamlined, pragmatic processes that align with latest software company practices while delivering automotive-grade safety and quality.
  • Hands-On Execution: Take an active, hands-on role in all tasks, producing work products and driving tangible results.
  • Promote a Modern Mindset: Avoid over-complication; champion simplicity and effectiveness in all processes.

About you

Essential

  • Experience in Startups and Software Companies: Proven track record of delivering high-quality work in agile, fast-paced environments.
  • Requirements Management Expertise: Hands-on experience setting up and managing requirements tools for automotive SW, ideally Jama Connect, as well as requirements frameworks across variants and products
  • Change Management Proficiency: Ability to oversee and manage change management processes in a structured, efficient manner.
  • Configuration Management Skills: Strong understanding of configuration management, including tool selection and A-SPICE compliance.
  • Pragmatic Problem-Solver: Demonstrated ability to simplify complex processes while maintaining quality and without compromising safety.
  • Tech-Forward Thinking: Deep understanding of latest software company practices and tools, with an emphasis on efficiency and innovation.
  • Knowledge of agile and lean practices for software development.

Desired

  • Automotive Knowledge: Familiarity with automotive-grade software, A-SPICE, and safety-critical systems.
  • Familiarity with automotive standards like ISO 26262, ASPICE, and ISO 21434. 
  • Experience integrating and managing multiple toolchains for full lifecycle traceability (e.g., Jira, Jama, test tools).
