Renewable Energy Advisory & Owner's Engineering Intern (French-speaking)

JOB DESCRIPTION
UL Solutions is looking for a motivated engineering student or recent graduate to join its Renewable Energy Advisory team. This internship offers hands-on exposure to Owner's Engineering activities across wind energy projects, with additional exposure to solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS).
You will support experienced engineers on real projects and gain practical insight into renewable energy project development, construction and delivery.
Location: Barcelona or Pamplona (Spain) or Lyon (France)
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the team in monitoring renewable energy projects, primarily wind farms, across development, construction and commissioning phases
• Assist in the review of technical documentation (designs, drawings, reports, schedules, quality records)
• Contribute to project coordination and follow-up of key activities (progress tracking, risks, interfaces between stakeholders)
• Support preparation of reports, presentations and meeting minutes
• Participate in internal and external meetings with project teams and stakeholders
• Assist with construction monitoring and documentation review
• Contribute to technical due diligence activities under supervision
• Support internal knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Industrial or Renewable Energy)
• Fluency in English and French
• Strong interest in renewable energy, particularly wind projects
• Good analytical and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with technical information
• Good communication skills and ability to work in an international team

Nice to have (not mandatory)

• Previous internship or academic exposure to renewable energy or construction projects
• Understanding of how energy projects are developed or built
• Interest in project management or technical advisory
• Knowledge of additional tools (e.g. data analysis, Power BI, GIS)
• Spanish or Arabic language skills
