Who we are

Proxymity is a market leading digital investor communications platform focused on providing regulatory compliant products, focused initially on Proxy Voting and Shareholder Disclosure services. Founded in London and spun out of Citi, from the very beginning our mission focused on benefitting the whole capital markets ecosystem, rather than just one part or one player within it. This ethos is endorsed by investment from global consortium of some the industry’s most influential financial institutions.

Proxymity’s service offering is now a global one, matching the needs of our custodian and broker community respectively. This is reflected by a fast-growing client base who have long desired an improved service by a trusted vendor. As a result, we are a fast-growth company and have already gone from 10 - 200+ employees in the last five years with a global footprint in London, Manchester, New York, Tel-Aviv, Melbourne and Kuala Lumpur.

The role

Reporting to the Head of Relationship Management, you will manage a portfolio of top-tier institutional clients and large financial institutions across EMEA. You will act as the senior escalation point for clients in the region, lead key programmes of work and manage contractual matters. You will work closely with functions across Proxymity – including senior management, business development, sales, legal, product, marketing, operations and technology – to drive client satisfaction, platform adoption and product evolution.

  • Drive adoption of the Proxymity platform across clients’ custody and other relevant business lines.
  • Build relationships with issuer agents in the region, acting as a trusted partner for business development and a senior point of escalation.
  • Identify growth opportunities in new client segments through structured discovery of their needs.
  • Negotiate and execute contracts with new and existing clients.
  • Partner with Marketing to refine collateral and messaging for the financial intermediary segment, and support the planning of regional client events.
  • Develop deep knowledge of Proxymity’s value proposition and products to position existing solutions and help shape new ones.
  • Report regularly to management on portfolio status, challenges and emerging opportunities.

Requirements
    • 8+ years’ experience in relationship management or a similar commercial role
    • Extensive knowledge of financial markets and asset servicing; knowledge of corporate actions and proxy voting is a distinct advantage
    • Proven track record of managing and growing client relationships, including leading monthly, quarterly and annual relationship meetings

    • Experience acting as the lead point of escalation for client issues
    • Experience delivering successful client onboarding and implementations
    • Demonstrable success in identifying and developing new business opportunities
    • Experience negotiating and executing commercial contracts independently
    • Excellent negotiation, written communication and presentation skills
    • Strong commercial acumen, with a proactive, self-driven approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
