Position Overview: 

The firm has a dedicated Intermediary team covering the Nordics (and Baltics) responsible for marketing the breadth of our public and private investment capabilities and our scale across markets. As part of a growing Nordic business, this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the firm's future success.

We are seeking Relationship Manager as part of the Nordic Client Coverage Team with specific focus on Asset Managers, Private Banks / Wealth Managers, Multi-family offices, insurance unit-linked and other Intermediary platforms. This role can be based in either London or Copenhagen. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team to develop the business in the Nordics & Baltics.

This broad client base has different needs and requirements regarding the strategies in which they invest both on the liquid side as well as the illiquid side and day-to-day client service. Liquid solutions include UCITS, white-labelling, sub-advised, and several private market strategies in ELTIF 2.0, RAIF and SICAV II. The Client Coverage teams are expected to represent the entire Neuberger product suite, with strategies across Equities, Fixed Income and Alternatives (including Private Equity, Private Credit, Infrastructure and Real Estate).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for fund raising and relationships both existing and prospective. Managing not only outbound sales, but also inbound sales, with proactive interactions with new or existing leads and follow-ups.
  • Liaising and collaborating with colleagues in Portfolio Management, Client Service, Marketing and Compliance teams for client deliverables.
  • Organizing prospective client-related activity, including but not limited to client presentations. Ensure all activity follows the regulatory framework.
  • Conducting market research and assisting the team on appropriate business strategies and client analysis.
  • CRM maintenance, including database management, producing pipeline activity and meeting notes, to help enhance the overall sales processes.
  • Servicing existing client book and responding to all client needs diligently working with the client services team.
  • Initiating outbound sales calls and organize client meetings. Prepare new business sales presentations and lead client meetings.
  • Working closely with the marketing and client services teams to effectively communicate investment philosophies and processes as coordinating client communications.
  • Organizing and proactively supporting client events and marketing collateral efforts.

Key Requirements / Qualification/ Attribute: (essential unless otherwise stated)

  • Degree in economics, management or finance preferred
  • At least 7+ years’ experience in the same asset raising role within the Asset Management industry. International experience valued.
  • Fluency in Swedish, Finnish or Danish is preferred
  • Experience using Salesforce, or similar CRM system
  • Passionate about financial markets
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
  • A self-starter, who works in a precise and timely manner, who takes ownership to move initiatives forward
  • Location: Open to candidates based in London or Copenhagen.
  • Must be available and flexible to travel extensively across the Nordics & Baltics to present NB strategies to different investor bases
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, collaborative approach with partners across the business
  • Strongly numerate with a good working knowledge of Excel
  • Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint
