As a representative of the Outwards Reinsurance team in the Lloyd's Market Performance area, you will partner with syndicates from across the market to evaluate and impact the management of reinsurance risk, driving Lloyd’s market principles and regulatory best practices. Working collaboratively within Lloyd’s you will ensure reinsurance considerations are appropriately embedded, using your technical reinsurance expertise to identify trends and challenges, and leading the reinsurance oversight and planning processes for your portfolio of syndicates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical validation, evaluation and analysis of syndicate level outwards reinsurance information
- Lead Reinsurance discussions and reviews with managing agents in regard to technical assessment of RI arrangements & management effectiveness
- Evaluate syndicate performance for reinsurance risk under Lloyd’s Principles Based Oversight framework
- Evaluate the Outwards Reinsurance elements of Syndicate Business Forecasts and Syndicate Capital Requirements
- Use technical expertise to research and investigate reinsurance trends and emerging issues, produce and present analysis, and handle technical referrals relating to reinsurance arrangements, contract wordings and counterparties.
- Engage with colleagues as well as managing agents, regulators, rating agencies and other external stakeholders around syndicate reviews and oversight, including response to referrals and queries.
- Provide technical input to the enhancement of the data and risk analysis reporting and evaluation tools used within the team.
