Job Description
Are you passionate about Regulatory Reporting and driven by the challenge of ensuring compliance across multiple regulations? Join our team and leverage your expertise!
As a Regulatory Reporting Specialist in the Regulatory Reporting team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our payment reporting to European regulators is compliant, complete, timely, and accurate. You will be responsible for overseeing the capture of requirements, building comprehensive frameworks, and acting as a Subject Matter Expert on regulatory changes.
Job responsibilities

  • Serves as the Subject Matter Expert/Technical Lead on regulatory changes for our inventory of reports
  • Oversees the capture of requirements for the rebuild of existing regulatory reports
  • Builds comprehensive frameworks around each report, including variance analysis, controls, procedures, user guides, and business requirements
  • Reviews and signs off on reports prior to submission to regulators
  • Collaborates with upstream business teams to ensure accurate and timely information
  • Ensures all regulatory reports conform to our agreed framework
  • Understands our business model and applies reporting rules to specific activities
  • Coordinates efforts across teams in Edinburgh, Geneva, and Bangalore, and works with key stakeholders including Technology, Compliance, Controls, Projects, and Governance teams
  • Acts as Report Process Owner for the production of reports, ensuring procedures and controls are followed
  • Is accountable for reviewing and signing off on business requirements within the team
  • Performs substantive assessments of requirements to validate that reports satisfy regulatory obligations, including writing and presenting detailed reports of findings to senior management


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a fast-moving team
  • Responsible for leading a small team in an inclusive and nurturing manner
  • Focused on execution with the ability to prioritize across multiple competing initiatives
  • Flexibility to work under pressure to meet changing work requirements
  • Ability to work with large data sets to pull trends and insights, and provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to varied audiences
  • Inclusive communication skills with the ability to foster collaboration across various groups and regions


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Knowledge of Deposit Guarantee Schemes Directives ( DGSD) & Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)/Payment Statistics/Balance of Payments or experience in a similar Regulatory Reporting function
  • Experience in delivering regulatory change
