Reporting to the President, Travel, The Regional Vice President of Travel Sales is a Sales Leader experienced in selling complex, multi-dimensional opportunities to corporate customers. He or she will be familiar with the market and with the pricing and revenue management challenges within specific verticals.  

The RVP of Sales will have experience and a record of leading a high-performing, consultative sales team. The ideal candidate is a sales leader with an impressive track record. This individual will grow the business and develop a personal portfolio of customers through focused, account-based strategies throughout the region. We are looking for someone who shares a passion, drive, and enthusiasm for SaaS technology and who will thrive in our entrepreneurial sales environment. This role reports directly to the SVP, B2B Global Sales.

A Day in the Life of the Regional Vice President, Travel Sales - About the role: 

  • Direct a team of seasoned sales reps and cross-functional subject-matter experts to land new accounts. Directly manage sales team for assigned under Airline industry including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; and resolving problems. 
  • Drive, inspect, and coach all resources through the PROS sales process. Establish and maintain employee performance standards. Provide ongoing, timely feedback and periodic formal performance evaluations, per company guidelines. 
  • Employ a disciplined approach to enable accurate prospecting, opportunity identification, forecasting, demand generation, and opportunity management in a complex sales environment.  
  • Work closely with the partner ecosystem to drive benefit for all stakeholders.  
  • Work in conjunction with Marketing leadership and Product Managers to coordinate marketing efforts in order to maximize sales volume, product mix, and margin. 
  • Prepare annual business plan in support of company objectives. Manage, update, and implement activities and strategies to support the plan. 
  • Develop key end-customer relationships to create opportunity, maintain loyalty and continuity, and improve overall quality of the sale. 
  • Implement and drive account and related business strategies in concert with management teams. 

Required Qualifications - About you: 

We are looking for candidates who possess the combination of the following achievements, skills and behaviors:  

  • You have proven experience – 10 years successful sales management experience in the software for retail, pricing and shopping SaaS software within airlines. 

  • You're bright – Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred. Additional experience in lieu of required education will be considered. Education and/or experience in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Accounting, Marketing, Finance, or a technical business discipline considered a plus.  

  • You’re already a proven expert – Your sales expertise has been demonstrated by helping to lead sales organizations for other SaaS-based technology solution providers; you’ve done this before, but remain hungry and excited about doing it again with PROS; you’re street smart; you’re THE definition of a self-motivator and problem-solver; you’re resourceful and ruthlessly pragmatic; you’re a self-starter with experience in cold calling, building a pipeline, and executive client relationship-building. 

  • You’re an open book – You communicate crisply; you go out of your way to be transparent in your actions and your words; you manage down, around, and up with the same enthusiasm and without playing politics; you have excellent written and verbal communication skills.  

  • You have a global mindset, with a sensitivity to and willingness to work across cultures and time zones; willing to travel 50 to 75%.
