We are seeking a highly skilled Regional PLM Director to lead the strategy, roadmap, and commercial success of our optical networking portfolio across the region. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge of DWDM systems, IPoDWDM, and the full suite of 1830 platforms—including 1830 GX, PSS, ICEX800, and FlexILS—combined with strong business acumen and customer-facing leadership.Experience engaging with wholesale carriers and hyperscalers is essential for this role.
 

Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the regional product strategy for the optical networking portfolio.

  • Support sales teams with solution positioning, deal strategy, and competitive analysis.

  • Serve as the regional expert for 1830 GX, PSS, ICEX800, FlexILS, DWDM, and Coherent based pluggable solutions such as IPoDWDM.

  • Engage directly with wholesale customers and hyperscalers to understand requirements and align them with the product roadmap.

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with global PLM, R&D, Sales Engineering, and Business Development.

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions.

  • Support business case development, financial planning, and forecasting using Anaplan & PowerBI.

  • Represent the optical portfolio in executive meetings, customer workshops, and regional leadership forums.
     

Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience in optical networks, PLM, systems engineering, or related fields.

  • Bachelor in Electrical Engineering and MBA is preferred.

  • Deep expertise in:

    • DWDM and optical transport systems

    • 1830 platforms: GX, PSS, ICEX800

    • FlexILS and IPoDWDM architectures

  • Proven track record working with wholesale carriers and hyperscalers (cloud and data center operators).

  • Strong analytical and planning skills with hands-on experience using Anaplan.

  • Fluent in English and French (both required).

  • Excellent executive communication, presentation, and customer engagement abilities.

  • Ability to influence global teams, drive roadmap alignment, and manage complex stakeholder environments
