Regional Manager

Position: Regional Manager

Location: Sussex Region

Job Type: permanent, full-time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours, plus on call rota - start times to be discussed 

Salary: £65,000 + bonuses

About the Role:

  • This is a highly professional role that involves a great deal of skill and knowledge of the utilities industry and will require you to engage with clients and build strong working relationships, which will help deliver key ODI’s/KPI’s the business model requires in line with the budgets set. 
  • You will be assisting the company to achieve its goals and objectives by region. You will assist recruitment efforts by assessing each prospective staff and assigning them in the best possible locations and work to improve productivity, customer relations and service, and surpassing regional goals by coordinating, mentoring and motivating operational staff. 
  • You will conduct site visits to assess the conditions and recommend changes, working alongside the Health & Safety team to ensure the correct procedures are followed and meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards. 
  • The Regional Manager will be leading a team of operatives and will have strong leadership and customer service skills to do so. 
  • You will be working in a high-profile operational position, taking responsibility and accountability for the performance of the team across a large geographical area. 
  • The Regional Manager will be regularly liaising with the client to ensure strong working relationships, contractor engagement and accountability.  
  • You will be responsible for communicating with our planning functions to drive efficiency and promoting and delivering customer satisfaction. 
  • The Regional Manager will drive continuous improvement in line with H&S legislation and budgets.
  • They will liaise with the Health, Safety & Wellbeing team to ensure the work environment complies with regulations set by the government regarding environmental, health and safety criteria.  
  • You will manage a P&L, meet and exceed KPI’s across key work streams and lead a team of Line Managers, Transport Leads and Technical Specialists. 
  • Promoting a culture of engagement and motivation within the team.

Required Experience: 

  • The successful candidate must have a Full UK Driver's Licence to be considered for this position. 
  • Strong managerial experience.  
  • Leadership experience and strong interpersonal, relationship - building and networking skills. 
  • Confidentiality is very important within this position and we are looking for someone with experience of working with sensitive information. 
  • This is a fast paced position and it is essential that you have experience of prioritising your workload and being organised is crucial. 
  • Proficient within the Microsoft Office Suite. 

  

Although it is not essential it is desirable if the successful candidate will have Senior Managerial experience within a Drainage / Utilities business. It is also desirable that you will be proficient in IOS software and have a good understanding of Sewer Flooding and Pollution activities.  

  

You must have a full UK drivers licence.
