Supervise regional site maintenance, ensure efficiency and safety in operations, lead a maintenance team, and manage engineering improvement projects.
About the role:Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will oversee all aspects of regional site maintenance activities to ensure safe, continuous and efficient running of site operations, plant equipment and all associated assets through scheduled routines. You will also be at the forefront of identifying engineering improvement opportunities and assisting in the management of these projects through to completion.Your responsibilities:
- Implement the maintenance strategy, aligned with the organisations AIPSM policy and procedures
- Manage the performance and personal development of the Site Maintenance Engineers to drive behaviours aligned with our value of Safety First
- Lead the site maintenance team to ensure all maintenance tasks are undertaken safely, efficiently and cost effectively
- Lead the engineering team to create a high performing culture where team members are motivated, engaged, and supported to develop and achieve their potential.
- Ensure all plant and equipment adhere to all relevant legislation and a safe working environment is maintained all times
- Plan and prioritise the maintenance workload for site engineering personnel
- Ensure that the permit to work system is in place and adhered to so that contractors and colleagues work safely at all times
- Overseeing maintenance contracts (i.e. Air compressors, Deionised Water plant and Effluent Plant etc), including scheduling any inspections with third party contractors.
- HND/NVQ Equivalent - Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- Experience in similar supervisory role, experience in liquid process engineering vital
- Experience in working in a safety driven environment and proven experience in a supervisory role, developing a motivated, engaged and high performing team
- Experience of utilising a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Experience in liquid process engineering in a manufacturing environment
- Ideally chemical industry background on a COMAH facility
- Working knowledge of key regulations such as Health and Safety at Work Act, COMAH, PUWER, LOLER, Electricity at Work and Confined Space Working
