Regional Director, UK & Ireland Adviser Group

Reporting to the Regional Director Manager for UK Advisory Group, the objective of this role is to help expand and deepen the company’s relationships within the Greater London & Southeast financial adviser community. The core function is the promotion of Dimensional’s investment strategies to financial adviser clients and prospects.  This will involve all aspects of Dimensional’s client service model from our perspective on capital markets research and fund management to business development, adviser practice management and client communications.

Regional Directors must be able to discuss the sophisticated investment solutions that Dimensional provides as it is critical to how we work with, and influence, our clients, and prospects. Just as important, the Regional Director must have a strong business development and client service orientation and understand the issues and challenges advisers face in building client-centric, fee-based businesses. An ideal candidate for the role will be someone who can demonstrate the ability to synthesise and communicate complex ideas effectively and who enjoys developing strong relationships with clients.  This role will require frequent travel to visit clients in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Increase revenues, assets under management and client relationships within the territory through the profitable growth of the Dimensional product suite.
  • Direct responsibility for key client relationships and interactions in the Greater London and Southeast region.
  • Assist advisers in developing their understanding of capital market research and of its application to portfolio management.
  • Responsible for sales activity within the defined region.
  • Leading the client service team assigned to support the Regional Director within the sales territory.
  • Construct portfolio analysis presentations for financial adviser clients.
  • Train financial advisers in asset allocation and portfolio construction using proprietary software.
  • Consult with adviser firms on building an efficient practice while providing a successful investment experience to clients.
  • Be a team-player throughout the Global Client Group, and mentor Associates and Senior Associates within the Client Relationship Group
  • Present at Dimensional conferences and seminars.
  • Represent Dimensional at industry events.
  • Champion the Dimensional brand and promote the firm’s investment approach in the UK & Ireland financial services market.

Qualifications, Experience and Characteristics Suitable for the Role

  • Demonstrate a high level of academic attainment, degree level or equivalent professional qualifications preferred.
  • Proven track record of sales success within Asset Management or similar role within the Financial Services industry, especially within the Greater London and Southeast area.
  • A strong understanding of the London and Southeast region along with experience and knowledge of working with advisers in the area.
  • Personal alignment, understanding and appreciation of Dimensional's investment process, philosophy, and business strategy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in conveying technical investment approaches and key Dimensional selling points in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Strong consultative sales abilities in building adviser relationships and raising assets.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and articulate a plan for achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent attention to detail with CRM record keeping.
  • Ability to present Dimensional’s products and philosophy to small and large groups.
  • Competitive but highly collaborative with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • A strong sense of professional and personal integrity and high ethical standards
