Role
The Regional Director of Human Resources – EMEA & Americas, based at Aman’s corporate office in London, oversees HR operations across multiple hotel properties in these regions. This leadership role is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programmes aligned with Aman’s business objectives, while fostering a positive, high-performing work environment.
Working in close collaboration with HR leaders at individual properties and the corporate HR team, the Regional Director will foster a culture of excellence, diversity, and engagement. The role ensures compliance with all applicable local and national employment laws and regulations, while providing strategic oversight and guidance to property HR teams. Although not directly responsible for any single property, the Regional Director ensures consistency in the implementation of HR best practices across the regions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regional HR strategies that align with Aman’s global objectives and drive organizational success.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to property HR leaders on policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Lead and oversee regional HR projects in collaboration with corporate HR to support growth and innovation.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and property HR leaders to recruit senior-level (ExCom and above) positions.
- Implement talent management programs including succession planning, career development, and performance management.
- Drive employee engagement through surveys, feedback initiatives, and action planning to foster a positive workplace culture.
- Oversee compliance with employment laws across all EMEA and Americas jurisdictions.
- Support leadership development programs and training initiatives in partnership with the Director of Learning & Development.
- Provide guidance on employee relations, grievances, and sensitive matters while ensuring confidentiality and professionalism.
- Collaborate with property HR teams to prepare budgets, manage HR operations, and support efficient service delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role within luxury hospitality.
- Proven experience across the EMEA and Americas regions, with strong cultural awareness and adaptability.
- In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and local employment regulations across multiple EMEA and Americas countries.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to build trust and collaboration at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to drive strategic HR initiatives while balancing operational excellence.
- High degree of resilience and adaptability in fast-paced, complex environments.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, HR software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the region to support properties and new openings.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality in handling sensitive matters.
