The Regional Commercial Manager drives growth in the distribution business, focusing on power generation projects, strengthening channel performance, and developing customer relationships through strategic planning and collaboration.
We are looking for a talented Regional Commercial Manager to join our European team specializing in Sales for our Distribution Business in the United Kingdom.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Drive regional growth by identifying high‑value markets and activating opportunities, especially within data center power projects.
- Strengthen channel performance by partnering with retail channel partners to uncover, qualify, and convert customer opportunities.
- Win complex technical projects by collaborating with engineering consultants, DC operators, and internal design/technical teams to deliver best‑value, risk‑mitigated solutions.
- Influence early in the sales cycle by engaging upstream stakeholders, shaping specifications, and positioning standby power solutions for success.
- Improve commercial outcomes by balancing risk and reward, developing compelling business cases, and negotiating within policy to close sales.
- Bring valuable market intelligence by monitoring European power generation trends and sharing insights that guide strategy and product positioning.
- Support cross‑business collaboration by aligning with internal business managers on regional initiatives, strategic pursuits, and multi‑unit account development.
- Expand customer relationships by developing strategic account plans, building trust across decision‑making levels, and ensuring seamless hand‑offs to account owners.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Strong consultative selling capability, including prospecting, needs discovery, solution shaping, value articulation, and closing.
- Expertise in power generation solutions, enclosed, plantroom, standby systems, and familiarity with balance‑of‑plant requirements.
- Ability to coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders to develop technically sound, commercially strong project proposals.
- Proficiency with CRM, sales process discipline, forecasting, and data‑driven decision‑making to meet regional/channel goals.
Education/Experience:
- College, university, or equivalent degree in sales, marketing, technical, or related fields required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Significant relevant professional experience, with customer‑facing roles preferred.
- Proven success selling enclosed or plantroom standby power solutions.
- Experience collaborating with channel partners, engineering consultants, and cross‑functional teams on complex project opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to identify new business opportunities, influence stakeholders, manage risk, and close commercially sound deals.
