UK Haematology Regional Business Manager – Specialty Business Unit

Lilly UK is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Regional Business Manager (RBM) to lead our Haematology Sales Team within the Specialty Business Unit. Reporting to the Business Unit Leader, this is an exciting opportunity to establish and shape Lilly’s presence in Haematology, building a new team from the ground up. You will be instrumental in recruiting top talent, defining a high-performance culture, and positioning Lilly as a key player in this dynamic and competitive therapeutic area. As the RBM, you will lead a team of Territory Business Managers (TBMs) to drive sales excellence and enhance customer engagement. Your leadership will be critical in ensuring the success of Lilly’s innovative haematology therapies and expanding our footprint in this space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Build, lead, and coach a high-performing team of TBMs to successfully promote Lilly’s Haematology portfolio. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and results-driven culture from day one.

  • Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and execute a robust sales strategy to establish Lilly’s presence in Haematology. Drive momentum in this competitive and evolving market.

  • Capability Development: Identify the key skills and competencies required for success in Haematology, ensuring the team is fully equipped to navigate the challenges and opportunities in this space. Partner with the Capabilities Team to maintain a high standard of sales performance.

  • Business Analysis & Reporting: Implement effective processes to track sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity. Lead regular performance reviews, ensuring data-driven decision-making to optimize sales impact.

  • Key Opinion Leader Engagement: Guide your team in building strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), clinicians, and influencers within Haematology. Establish a network of advocates to support the successful adoption of Lilly’s therapies.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Value and Access Managers (VAMs), Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), Medical Education Team, and the National Therapy Advisor (NTA) to align local and national strategies. Ensure seamless collaboration across functions to maximize impact.

  • Ethical Leadership: Lead with integrity, ensuring all business activities comply with regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven ability to build and lead a team, fostering a culture of high performance, inclusivity, and personal development.

  • Demonstrated success in coaching and developing individuals and/or teams, particularly in specialist markets.

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with a track record of using data-driven insights to drive sales success.

  • Experience launching and driving momentum in competitive therapeutic areas, ideally within Haematology or Specialty Care.

  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence specialist thought leaders and key stakeholders.

  • Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills, with the agility to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Experience in a matrix organization, managing multiple priorities and navigating complex stakeholder environments.

  • A proven ability to lead through change, particularly in the context of new market entries and competitive launches.
