Why you will love this opportunity as Regional Account Director at Civica

As a Regional Account Director, you’ll build strategic partnerships with local authorities and help them become modern, high‑performing councils focused on serving citizens. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, using your insight and commercial judgement to understand local priorities and align them with Civica’s software and services.

You’ll develop deep relationships with C‑suite and senior stakeholders, supporting them through financial pressures, service challenges and digital transformation. Your work will shape solutions that deliver real public value across your region.

You will also lead our growth approach for Local Government Reorganisation areas, ensuring Civica is well positioned to support councils through organisational change and future service models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build trusted, long‑term relationships with senior Local Government leaders, acting as a strategic advisor who understands their financial, political and community priorities.
  • Champion the customer’s voice within Civica, ensuring their goals shape delivery, roadmap discussions and early risk escalation.
  • Lead Civica’s regional strategy, including growth planning and Local Government Reorganisation engagement, supporting councils through change, consolidation and shared‑service opportunities.
  • Develop strategic account plans that align council priorities with Civica’s portfolio, identifying cross‑sell, suite adoption and transformation opportunities to drive long‑term value.
  • Bring credible market insight on policy, sector challenges and GovTech trends, representing Civica in regional networks and positioning us as a trusted partner.

Requirements
  • Deep understanding of Local Government, sector networks, policy landscape and GovTech trends, with strong market and competitor insight.
  • Builds trusted, senior‑level relationships and operates as a strategic, commercially minded partner with senior sales experience.
  • Excellent commercial acumen, able to link complex customer challenges to value‑led opportunities and shape high‑impact deals.
  • Skilled in identifying, developing and progressing new opportunities, influencing executive stakeholders and navigating complex sales cycles.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem‑solving skills, curiosity and confidence operating in ambiguous or evolving environments.
