CCI is seeking an experienced Refined Products Scheduler to join our Oil Liquids Scheduling team. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make autonomous decisions with real profit and loss (P/L) impact. This role is vital to our operations, supporting the trading desk by managing the logistics of physical oil shipments and ensuring seamless execution of trades.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule the movement of physical oil products, including crude oil and refined petroleum products, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to contractual obligations.

  • Liaise internally with scheduling and trading teams, as well as credit, confirms, and settlement teams, to facilitate smooth execution of trades and resolve any logistical issues.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including scheduling counterparts, terminal operators, barge/vessel operators, and inspection companies, representing the values of CCI and ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

  • Analyze market trends, supply and demand dynamics, and geopolitical factors to anticipate potential disruptions and proactively mitigate risks to our operations.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, including safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

  • Offer after-hours support as necessary to tackle urgent issues and maintain round-the-clock coverage of oil operations.

Qualifications:

  • Scheduler must have previous experience with MR / LR sized vessels and transport of refined products cargo onboard.  Understanding gasoline and distillate key specs as well as draft, terminal clearances, freight calculations, deviation & demurrage, charterparty terms & conditions as well as shipping documents including Bills of Lading, COO, Import & Export documentation is required.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field.

  • Prior experience in a scheduling role within relevant commodity industries, with a preference for crude oil, fuel oil, and refined products.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make autonomous decisions under pressure.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the 24/7 nature of the role.
