LemFi (Series B) is building the go-to financial app for the Global South.

Moving to a new country shouldn’t mean starting from zero. That's why our team of 400+ spanning 20+ countries is building a financial ecosystem that helps immigrants stay connected to home, build stability, and create wealth regardless of where they are from or where they live.

What began as fast, affordable remittances is now evolving into a complete platform for multi-currency accounts, payments, credit, and long-term financial growth.

With millions of users across the globe, we process over $1B in monthly transactions to 30+ countries, proving that borders shouldn't limit financial opportunity.

The Role

As a Reconciliation Specialist, you will be essential to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of LemFi’s financial data across our global payment and settlement channels. You will own daily and monthly reconciliation processes, identify and resolve discrepancies, partner with cross-functional teams, and help strengthen the financial systems that power our products worldwide.

This is a hybrid operations role with a rotating weekend schedule—one Saturday or Sunday per month.

How You'll Contribute

  • Reconcile daily financial activity across ledgers, bank accounts, credit card transactions, and global payment channels.

  • Prepare accurate reports including daily summaries, month-end close outputs, and audit-ready documentation.

  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies such as failed bookings, double charges, and unsettled transactions.

  • Maintain strong financial controls by managing journal postings, balancing control accounts, and ensuring complete documentation.

  • Provide insights and analysis on transaction trends, partner-channel income/costs, and reconciliation exceptions.

  • Support customer and operational teams by resolving transaction-related queries and coordinating with Product and Engineering.

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners—including banks, payment providers, Finance, and Accounting—to improve processes and meet reporting obligations..

Who You Are

  • Detail-Oriented & Analytical: You excel at spotting patterns, identifying discrepancies, and working with high volumes of transactional data.

  • Process-Driven: You value accuracy, structure, and timely completion of tasks.

  • Calm Under Pressure: You can manage deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Collaborative: You work well with product, engineering, operations, and finance stakeholders.

  • Adaptable: You are comfortable navigating evolving processes and a dynamic global fintech ecosystem.

  • A Clear Communicator: You articulate findings clearly and collaborate effectively across teams and partners.

What You'll Bring

  • 3–5 years of reconciliation experience with relevant regional qualifications (e.g., GCSEs, A Levels, O Levels).

  • Strong understanding of global payment flows, settlement processes, and banking operations.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and research skills with high attention to detail.

  • Collaborative team player with strong stakeholder management abilities.

  • Proven ability to problem-solve, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and reconciliation tools (internal or third-party).

The Interview Process

  1. Chat with a Talent Partner (30 mins)

  2. Behaviours & Culture Interview (30 mins)

  3. Case Study (3 days to complete)

  4. Final Interview (45 mins)
