Job Description

This role is based in our Milton Keynes office 4 days a week, with the option to work from home on Fridays.

As the UK’s largest fibre-only network, and its only proven wholesale challenger, we’re busy setting new standards for what digital infrastructure can and should be.

Designed from scratch for the internet, our network is greener, more reliable and ready for the future. The products we provide over it not only lead the market on speed, value and service, they help businesses to innovate, provide entire communities with a better foundation for their digital lives and support economic growth, locally and nationally.

What does that mean for you? The opportunity to make internet connections (and daily life) a whole lot better, for a lot of people!

Joining us as a Receptionist & Office Manager

You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our busy Milton Keynes office. As the first point of contact for employees, visitors and clients, you’ll help create a welcoming, professional environment while supporting a wide range of facilities and administrative processes. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys taking ownership and improving how things work.

You’ll receive a competitive salary, a performance related bonus, and a range of benefits to support you across your financial, physical and mental wellbeing.

This is some of what you can expect to be doing:

  • Welcoming all visitors and contractors and supporting them in a calm and professional manner
  • Providing administrative support including filing, scanning, photocopying, issuing purchase orders and processing invoices
  • Managing meeting rooms, office facilities, catering, hospitality, accommodation and travel requests
  • Overseeing office organisation including supplies, post, couriers, car park management and key logs
  • Liaising with facilities contractors and managing maintenance issues through to resolution
  • Supporting health and safety processes in line with policies and guidance

What you’ll bring to the role

You’ll be an organised, personable and proactive individual with strong administrative and customer service skills. You’ll also have:

  • Experience of working on a busy reception in a large company or corporate environment
  • Experience in an administrative support role
  • Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi‑task, prioritise and work well under pressure
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • A can‑do attitude with the ability to build positive relationships across teams
  • Good understanding of health and safety measures relating to facilities
