Job Description

As a Consultant Analyst in the Quantitative Research team, your role is essential in guiding successful delivery of client work. Whilst you’re still expected to be honing your Quantitative research skills, you should be confident in the basics, and consistently delivering high-quality work across the project lifecycle with limited senior input; from project set-up and management, to survey development and report-writing.
You may also be responsible for supporting and managing junior colleagues on projects. Essentially, this role is about demonstrating confident, consistent competency in your core skills as a Quantitative researcher, and showing a strong desire to lead more and more parts of projects (e.g. survey development, report writing, client management).

As a team, we have a passion for numbers, and pride ourselves on client work that drives:

  • Representation – amplifying lesser heard voices
  • Impact – delivering recommendations with gravitas and storytelling through data
  • Experimentation – championing innovative ideas to tackle challenges from different angles

As an Analyst, you will act as a pivotal team member on at least 2 to 3 projects at any one time, through confident project management that ensures work is delivered on time, on budget and in-line with our clients’ and our own high expectations. We’re looking for a Consultant Analyst to join our team who is looking to have more responsibility in the project lifecycle, and can bring fresh, new ideas, whilst showcasing confidence in delivery.

Key Consultant Analyst responsibilities:

  • Confidently owning project management – including document management, supplier liaison, managing fieldwork, meeting management (booking, taking notes)
  • Survey development – taking ownership of significant chunks of survey development, with some senior directional input, ensuring questions and answer options, survey structure and logic are all fit for purpose
  • Fieldwork management – driving link checking, fieldwork monitoring and quota sheet management, establishing data processing specs and analysis plans
  • Analysis and reporting – Leading parts of analysis sessions, confidently developing insights and narratives, using data and charts to create report section(s) that demonstrate these narratives, confidently presenting report section(s) to clients
  • Internal contribution – helping set-up and manage team sessions, leading parts of internal initiatives, networking, driving thought leadership, sharing new and emerging Quantitative research methodologies / suppliers

Flexible working - We are guided by our client work and needs; however, you have autonomy to manage your time and diary to suit your work/life balance.

Essential requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in supporting the successful delivery of projects, including leading some aspects of project work; this will include set-up and management, survey development, analysis and report writing
  • Client facing skills; you will have experience confidently managing clients and building rapport with them
  • Experience of projects across multiple sectors (we work with some of the world’s biggest names across a range of industries including technology, social media, retail, travel, entertainment and financial services) and on different project types
  • Professional operator; we deliver to tight timelines and so you’ll need excellent project management, problem solving and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills; whether working as part of a team to meet a demanding new brief, or explaining a finding to a client, being able to make the most from your interactions with people is absolutely central to success in this role

Desirable additions:

  • Can confidently use data analytics software (e.g. Q, SPSS, Askia)

Personal qualities:

  • Positive, proactive ‘can-do’ attitude towards clients, suppliers and colleagues

  • Constant curiosity and creativity, with a thirst for new knowledge and the ability to apply this to project thinking and delivery
  • Unafraid to innovate, be creative and experiment
