The Quality Systems Manager, reporting to the Head of Quality Systems & Compliance, provides critical support in implementing, maintaining, and enhancing HERE’s Quality Management System (QMS). The role focuses on elevating QMS performance through audits and assessments, continuous improvement initiatives, and meeting customer and business requirements. It requires the adoption and implementation of quality standards and capabilities driven by customer, industry, and strategic company needs.
A core element of the role is in support of SPICE frameworks, including Automotive-SPICE, Data Management-SPICE, and IT Services SPICE, which are used to assess compliance and improve process capability across automotive software development and testing, data management products, and connected platform IT services. In addition, ISO 9001 serves as the foundational QMS standard, with responsibility for supporting third-party audits, certifications, and re-certification activities, as well as the ability to adopt additional standards such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, TS 26262 and other emerging compliance requirements.
The position operates cross-functionally, consulting with teams and leaders on QMS- and SPICE-related initiatives, audits, metrics, risks, and governance. It involves frequent international collaboration through both virtual and on-site engagements and requires direct interaction with customers and third-party entities, including certification bodies, to support key customer and compliance-driven requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead SPICE (Automotive, Data Management, IT Services) capability programs to meet customer, regulatory, and business requirements.
- Partner with internal teams, customers, and third‑party assessors to drive measurable process improvement from assessment outcomes.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) policies, standards, and core process documentation.
- Drive cross‑functional quality and process improvement initiatives across software, data, and IT service domains.
- Plan and execute internal and external audits and assessments, including SPICE, ensuring timely closure of findings.
- Identify quality risks and maturity insights using customer, business, and system feedback.
- Track, analyze, and communicate quality performance and KPIs to support leadership decision‑making.
- Educate and mentor teams on ISO standards, SPICE, QMS, and compliance requirements; support customer RFx activities as needed.

Who are you?Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Quality Management, Quality Systems, or Compliance within a global software, IT, or data‑driven organization.
- Proven expertise in implementing and operating Quality Management Systems (QMS), including process definition, mapping, and governance.
- Hands‑on certification and audit experience with ISO 9001 and SPICE frameworks (Automotive‑SPICE required; Data or IT SPICE a plus), with exposure to additional standards such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 26262, or similar regulatory frameworks.
- Strong understanding of modern software development methodologies (Agile, CI/CD) and continuous improvement frameworks (e.g., CMMI); experience with Jira or similar tools preferred.
- Demonstrated strengths in communication, stakeholder engagement, project management, and change management within global, cross‑functional environments.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally as business needs require.
- Should work with minimum supervision, lead from front, self-motivated.
- Requires excellent relationship management, coordination and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders in identifying and closing process and system gaps, elevating and improving the QMS, and reducing customer escalations. Directly impacts meeting existing and new customer committed / compliance driven requirements.
