Permanent responsibility:
The SCQ manager shall assure the Quality of Space equipment and products
purchased from external suppliers, in the frame of specific Projects.
Normative and Standards:
The SCQ have to know the Quality Management System fundamentals according to
ISO 9001, ISO 14001, EN 9100, AQAP 2110 and ECSS requirements, in particular series
Q.
The candidate shall be able to manage external/internal standards in order to assure
the quality for products purchased from our suppliers all along the phases of a
project:
• Conformity of the Products with EC Directives (CE marking, WEE, RoHS)
• Compliance to Reach Regulation
• Compliance to ECSS series Q
Location: Torino or Roma
Task description:
The candidate will ensure the quality aspects of purchased items in the different
segments (Electrical, RF, mechanical, propulsion and ground support equipment)for
the entire life cycle of the products.
Proposal phase:
• The candidate shall be involved in the upstreaming phase of a project taking
active part to the Suppliers Selection process (TEB/PVET activities), in
collaboration with buyer and engineering, for all quality aspects. Specifically
the SCQ is responsible for the verification and negotiation (RFP phase) of
Suppliers conformity to:
• Customer Quality Requirements (flow down):
o Product Assurance and Safety Requirements for sub-contractors and
suppliers
• Specific Statement of Work and Statement of Applicability (including list of Ads
and PA DRL)
• Technical specification.
• Qualification status of the hardware proposed.

EQSR and Design Reviews phase:
The SCQ is called to participate to the main Subcontractors reviews of a program,
starting from the KO up to the manufacturing, testing and delivery of
Equipment/Units. In particular:
• The SCQ is called to manage an efficient equipment qualification status review
(EQSR)with Subcontractors, together with engineering and procurement in
order to verify:
Qualification status of a candidate solution and adequacy/coherency with the
category, and relevant model philosophy, proposed by each Subcontractor.
• Level of understanding and compliance with the requirements of a specific
project. This activities imply the EQSR data package review and the team
evaluation of maturity level both for technical and quality aspects.
• Where the out-come of an EQSR establish the need of a delta qualification
activity or when a new development is foreseen design reviews to be
performed. The primary purpose of the review’s team (Quality, engineering and
procurement) is to provide a comprehensive assessment of the project status
against targets and requirements. SCQ will perform the review of quality
aspects (documentation and performed analysis) in coordination with quality
discipline from time to time involved.
Monitoring of the Supplier during Manufacturing, Test phase and delivery:
• SCQ shall be able to monitor (OTD and OQD) and grant on time delivery and
on quality delivery of the hardware. This imply:
• Monitoring and managing of quality matters during manufacturing and
qualification test campaign of a new hardware, including any new mounting
technologies to be qualified.
• Monitoring and managing of quality matters during manufacturing and delta
qualification test campaign established by EQSR, including possible new
mounting configuration technologies.
• Monitoring and managing of quality matters during manufacturing and test
campaign in case of recurrent hardware.
• To manage delivery review board (DRB).

General skills:
• Managing of Mandatory Inspection points
• Managing of Major non Conformity and knowledge of problem solving
techniques.
• Managing of Deviations and Waivers
• Alerts managing
• Preparation of PA Progress Report section
• Quality assurance disciplines coordination:
- It is required to the SCQ the knowledge of Quality assurance disciplines
fundamentals in order to be able to coordinate and manage the
discipline’s contribution during the different phase of a project:
Proposal phase
Design phase
Production phase
Test phase and delivery
Including the management of RFD, RFW and NCR due to a specific
aspect of a specific discipline.
Personal requirements:
• Master degree or PhD in scientific subjects.
• Fluent knowledge of English language for both written and verbal
communication.
• Excellent knowledge of Italian is required
• Attitude to teamwork.
