The Quality Operations Manager is crucial in ensuring that products meet the necessary standards of safety, quality and compliance throughout the manufacturing process. The Quality Site Manager is also responsible for duties related to managing, implementing, sustaining, developing, and facilitating Quality Assurance, ISO, and Nuclear Certifications.

Essential Duties:

  • Quality Assurance Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance strategy to meet industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor quality assurance teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., ISO, Nuclear)
  • Quality Control: Oversee the quality control processes, including inspection, testing, and reporting, in order to capture defects along the production processes and avoid any defective material to be shipped to our customer
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, supply chain teams, and other internal stakeholders to align quality objectives with business goals.
  • Training and Development: Develop timely and relevant training programs for staff and facility on quality standards and practices.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the manufacturing process and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics to track quality metrics and drive decision-making.
  • Customer Feedback: Gather and analyze customer feedback to enhance product quality and address issues proactively.

Minimum Education and Experience Preferred:

  • BS degree in Engineering or related field preferred
  • 10 years similar experience.
  • American Society for Quality; Manager of Quality/ Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) certification; if not certified, attaining certification required.

Knowledge and Skills Preferred:

  • Hands-on wire and cable experience preferred.
  • Understanding of UL, CSA, IEEE, ICEA standards preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft products and QA management systems.
  • Critical thinker, with excellent analytical abilities
  • Ability to organize and prioritize works tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to lead, coach and mentor staff.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of employees.
  • Able to multi-task, follow priorities given, and have strong troubleshooting techniques.
  • Self-starter; ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to develop a plan of action based on data and execute the plan to obtain a positive outcome.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
  • Ability to move objects and materials of at least 50lbs.
