Working closely with production, suppliers, and customers, the Quality Engineer will provide technical expertise in quality assurance, inspection, compliance, and continuous improvement activities, ensuring adherence to customer, industry, and regulatory requirements. The role will drive quality improvements, support root cause investigations, and help foster a proactive quality culture across the site.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Perform and oversee welding, paint/coating, and product inspection and testing activities, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, applicable standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality procedures.
  • Develop, review, and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and coordinate customer, third-party, and regulatory witness inspections.
  • Support non-conformance management through investigation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and effectiveness verification.
  • Drive quality improvements to reduce defects, scrap, rework, and customer complaints.
  • Support supplier quality activities, including inspections, audits, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
  • Assist with customer quality requirements, audits, documentation reviews, and quality reporting.
  • Analyze quality data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support calibration activities and ensure inspection equipment remains compliant and fit for purpose.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and project teams to ensure quality requirements are met

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Experience in a Quality Engineer, Quality Inspector, or similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, standards, and customer requirements. 
  • Experience supporting product inspections, audits, and quality investigations. 
  • Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 or equivalent). 
  • Experience using quality tools such as Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why, FMEA, and corrective action processes. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and quality reporting tools. 
  • Ability to inspect products and processes against recognised industry, customer, regulatory, and company standards.
  • Experience developing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and supporting customer, third-party, and regulatory inspections.
  • Knowledge of special processes such as welding, painting/coating, machining, assembly, pressure testing, or electrical testing.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Experience within an engineer-to-order (ETO) or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with customer specifications and quality documentation packs.
  • Internal Auditor qualification or willingness to work towards one (desirable).
