We are seeking a Quality Engineer II to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of Waltham, MA.
Job Summary
The Quality Engineer II will use our software products daily to certify their quality and confirm that our customers are getting a scalable, stable, and exceptional product. This role requires knowledge about our products to allow them to provide valuable feedback to developers, product managers, and other contributors within the organization. In this role, there will be plenty of opportunities to make a real impact on the direction of the team and the organization as a whole.

This position offers a total compensation range of $100,232.00 to $110,800.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata's benefit offerings can be found here. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata's compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate's location, skills, experience, and qualifications.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with a team of developers and QA engineers to certify the products are ready to be used by our customers.
- Perform the required testing within sprints so software can be delivered on time.
- Perform exploratory testing, manual testing, and regression testing on bugs and new features.
- Partner with automation engineers to develop test cases for automation and improve automation efficiency.
- Create in-depth test plans for new additions to products and for customer-tailored edge cases based on technical documentation and use cases.
- Diagnose defects, assess customer risk from defects, and write well-documented defect reports for defects found in production and new features.
- Create and maintain test documentation.
- Create new, and improve existing, scalable processes as the application and the team grow.
- Other duties as assigned and required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years as a quality assurance engineer.
- Experience with exploratory testing, writing and executing manual test cases, and running regression tests.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and application releases.
- Enterprise software knowledge.
- Ability to understand complex systems and the relationships between their parts.
- Data analytical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods.
- Outstanding communication skills to work with a variety of teams.
- Great attention to detail and results-driven approach.
- Experience with Window, Mac, and Linux operating systems, Jira, Practitest and Confluence; SDKs and APIs and network security applications.
