The role:

The Quality Assurance Specialist - Supplier Management is responsible for acting as the single point of contact between the Lonza Slough site and the Global Supplier Quality team. The incumbent will be the site subject matter expert for Supplier qualification and will **coordinate** the approval status of the site's suppliers.

Join a dedicated team of about 10 members, collaborating closely with team members at the Slough site and the Global Supplier Quality Team, effectively managing the site's Vendor Change Notification process!

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and strictly improve a program to ensure suppliers meet world-class quality standards

  • Manage and successfully implement the process for bringing new suppliers on board

  • Conduct regular, flawless quality checks and audits of suppliers

  • Address any issues with suppliers promptly and effectively

  • Coordinate and manage external audits of suppliers with proven methodologies

  • Support the creation and review of quality agreements with suppliers

  • Track and report on key performance indicators for supplier management to determine areas of improvement

Key requirements:

  • Science-based degree and relevant experience in a regulated environment

  • Previous experience in Quality Assurance, dealing with customers and suppliers

  • Understanding of GMP principles and guidelines for supplier management

  • Strong communication skills for interacting with different collaborators
