Key Responsibilities:
- Drive automation for end-to-end testing and improve automation pipelines for Video playback across various devices, including Smart TVs, Set-top boxes, and game consoles.
- Collaborate with teams to automate test cases for video technology features such as Ultra HD, Dolby Atmos, and low-latency live streaming.
- Contribute to performance testing, ensuring high-quality video playback experiences on diverse devices.
- Develop and implement tools and strategies to simulate real-world conditions (e.g., poor internet connection) and detect performance regressions.
- Participate in Agile development processes, working closely with other teams to ensure consistent, high-quality testing and timely releases.
- Investigate and troubleshoot failed tests, identify root causes, and contribute to solutions.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Strong experience in automation and manual testing, with a focus on performance and scalability.
- Proven leadership as a QA lead on medium to large projects.
- Proficiency in Typescript and Python for code reading, writing, and debugging.
- Ability to create and develop interceptors to simulate test scenarios and effectively triage failed tests.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automated testing frameworks like Selenium or Appium.
- Scripting and coding skills with a solid understanding of technical systems.
- Experience in gathering test requirements and creating detailed test plans with quality metrics.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with development and business teams to assess impact and business needs.
